Converse
Do you know converse?
Have you ever noticed in the middle of the mark, there are two words written in cursive?
Actually it's a name.
It was printed on to honor a person who had had contributed a lot to the Converse Rubber Shoe Company.
He is called --- Chuck Taylor.
He was a basketball player invested by Converse Rubber Shoe Company, and then the coach of the basketball team ---The Converse All Stars.
Guess what?
Converse all star was at first designed for basketball players!
With the help of Chuck, the Converse was able to modify the shoes and made them more suitable for the players.
Converse became the most seen shoes on the basketball court, maybe the only seen at that time before Nike appear, and they were taken over by Nike then.
This is amazing!!
The converse all star can also be called Chuck Taylor All-stars, and was evaluate from basketball shoes!
But what's more amazing is that converse was at first designed for soccer!!
Second chock haha!!

Kind drivers
Today, I took a bus home. At one stop an old woman got on the bus, when she was getting in, she could only walk very slow, the driver didn't drive the bus until the old lady sat down.
This made me recalled something.
Years ago, on another bus, a little boy kept yelling, crying that he want to get off the bus, because he heard that the bus's number he was on was as same as the one he had taken before.
He had had a terrible experience before.
He shouted to his father that the driver of the previous bus he had taken was mean to him.
He said that the driver purposely turned off the stop reporter when the bus was approaching his destination, so that he missed his stop.
Actually how would the driver know where he is going to get off?
I once taken another bus with same number, and its stop reporter stopped working at actually same stop the boy said.
Though I am not sure if it was the same bus that the little boy had taken, but I guess the stop reporter on both of the bus was just broken.
Why was the little boy reacting so intensely?
Because he can't see. So he thought that the driver was playing trick on him.
He kept cursing the driver on the bus we were taking.
Yelling along the way that he hate that bus.
I felt really sad.
He lost his right to see the world while he was so young.
Maybe the anger and resentment hide away his ability to sense the goodness, and his ability to believe others.
He didn't know that the driver waited him to get on the bus and sat down really patiently.
I hope this boy can find back his innocence, and feel the kindness of the world once again while he is growing up.

Outside my window
Today I am going to introduce my window.
Whenever I am tired after working a long time in front of my desk, I will raise my head and look out of my window.
I dwel in 13 floor. It has a nice field of view here.
The scenery is always beautiful when I look out.
The scenery is pretty especially at afternoon and evening.
When the sky is reden by the sunset, it feels like I am living in a different world, a marvelous world.
Sometimes I even feel like living in wonderland when the sky is gold.

This one is shot during typhoon Megi's pass by.
This one makes me wonder how it looks like above the clouds. It just looks like the light from the heaven penetrate the clouds after a big storm.

How many Black-crowned Night-Heron can you find?
As a Taipei citizen, I used to think it is hard to see Black-crowned Night-Heron, and thought that they're rare.
But walking in NTU, I know that I was totally wrong.
I found these birds everywhere.
Just like their name, they are most active at night.
At night when walking around drunken moon lake, I even need to be careful, watch out my head, because they might appear flying very low above my head.
They once nearly crashed on my head.
When you look into the lake in the night and see something standing looking just like a bird, it's not that you are having any illusion, instead, it might possibly be a Black-crowned Night-Heron.
They often standing in the lake and looking at one direction very long time, as if they are pondering their bird lives, but they maybe are just hunting, searching for their prey.
Sometimes it's a little difficult to recognize them, because of their color.
How many Black-crowned Night-Heron can you find in pictures below?

Guardians of the passengers
One the way to school, if need to come across some big roads, then it must be very familiar to see this kind of scene.
If you don't know what I mean, just look closer again.
Yes, the traffic police.
We all had read some articles about appreciating the traffic polices. But as I am passing the road, I still forget about how hard they work.
One morning, I was passing the zebra crossing, and I saw a little girl without being accompanied by any adult was crossing the road, too.
That road was really dangerous at that time, because many cars are turning right at there, and when they turn right, they must pass by the road.
Another difficulty for the little girl is that the time for crossing the road is almost over.
She was so small that nobody noticed her.
But the traffic police did.
She raised her right arm to the cars to make them stop, until the little girl pass the road.
I was deeply moved on the other side of the road.
For the first time, I truly realized the importance of the traffic polices and appreciate their hard work.
What they are doing is to put their lives in risk to exchange the order of the road, and the passengers safety.
I want to say thank you to them again, and next time while I pass the road, I will be more careful, keep myself from causing any problem to them.

The guardian of the night
While everyone in the building is sleeping comfortably in their bed, there is one man stand still on the road. He is wide awake, keeping his eyes wide open, protecting the building's entrance from strangers.
He is the building's manager.
Every day, there are two managers guarding the two entrances, and if they are responsible for the night shift, then they have to stay up all night to ensure the residents' safety.
Although they are not working for free, they still deserve applause. What's behind the all night working is the sacrifices of their family time.
